How God is speaking to us...

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

This has been our prayer and God has graciously been giving us His incredible joy, peace, and hope as we trust in Him.
It is also our prayer for you!

"Have Patience, Have Patience"

When our children were small, we often listened to an album that taught kids about the Fruit of the Spirit--love, joy, peace, patience, etc. Well, this afternoon when we learned that Bob's surgery would be delayed until tomorrow (and we're not absolutely certain it will even happen then!), the song about patience so appropriately came to my mind!!

This journey we're on is certainly training us in patience and perseverance. Bob went to bed quite early this evening and as we chatted together and shared our discouragement with one another, we decided to "count our blessings" instead. That sure is the best antidote for discouragement!! Then as we were praying, Dad and Mom phoned from California to pray with us, as they do every evening!! Now that's one of our HUGE blessings!!

Barbie was planning to fly back to Regina tomorrow but she's extended her stay until Sunday. She's such good company when Bob's resting so much of the time. She and I are going to spread a puzzle out on the table in a few moments and escape the pressures of life for a while!!

I'll add a few pictures taken this weekend. We bought a very good "juicer" in order to make Bob lots of nutritious veggie and fruit juices to aid in his healing. So we initiated the juicer making the most delicious carrot/apple juice and toasted to Bob's health!! (and ours too!!)

Bob really has no energy at all to engage in any activity--either physical or mental, and we are SO MUCH looking forward to the boost we're anticipating that he will receive once he's on dialysis.

We've spent a few hours watching Gaither Homecoming DVDs (while Barbie rubs her dad's head!!), which is always a great "spirit-lifter". And enjoying a meal outside together brings such joy too.

Again, we have so many things to thank God for!!
